There is not much difference between the Dolphin Advantage Ultra and Advantage Pro. The Advantage series does not include NanoFilters as standard.

Like the Ultra, the Dolphin Pro lacks a full bag indicator.

Unlike the entry-level robotic pool cleaners, the Dolphin Advantage Ultra has a sophisticated navigation and mapping system that ensures the entire pool is cleaned and no spots are missed. Dubbed CleverClean Smart Technology, the robot can detect and avoid obstacles such as pool ladders and walls.

Besides obstacle detection, CleverClean creates hyper-accurate maps of the pool and plans for systematic cleaning patterns ensuring that no spot is missed.

The Dolphin Advantage Pro is exactly the same as the Advantage Ultra in terms of navigation and mapping. It also tags along with CleverClean Smart Technology for obstacle avoidance, so you shouldn’t expect the robot to get stuck like entry-level models without smart navigation.

The Dolphin Pro also has smart mapping, ensuring the robot cleans every inch of your pool.

When it comes to maneuverability, we are glad Maytronics opted for tracks instead of wheels. The tracks — functioning similarly to Dolphin’s PowerStream technology on higher-end models — provide better traction and are gentle on fragile pool surfaces such as fiberglass. Tracks also give the robot superior wall-climbing ability and the agility required to clean up to the waterline.

Another advantage of tracks is the fact that they don’t slip when cleaning slippery walls with algae and other slippery stains.

The Dolphin Advantage Pro is not different in any way. It has also been equipped with tracks instead of wheels like your typical robotic pool cleaner. The tracks give it better traction and the ability to go over obstacles in the pool without getting stuck.

We also like the fact that it has excellent climbing ability and agility to clean the waterline and slippery spots without slipping.

The Dolphin Advantage Ultra is an advanced robot vacuum that comes with several convenience features. First is the convenient carry handle that lets you easily carry or retrieve the pool cleaner from the pool. The Advantage Ultra also comes with a convenient Weekly Smart Timer that lets you schedule cleaning for the entire week.

You can set it to clean every day of the week, once after every 2 days, or once every 3 days. Another convenience feature we like is Automation Mode which allows the robot to sync with smart home automation systems.

Unfortunately, the Advantage Ultra lacks the Delay Feature and WiFi, so remote operation via the mobile app is not possible.

It also comes with a convenient, ergonomic carrying handle, so carrying the cleaner or retrieving it from the pool is hassle-free. Automation Mode also lets you connect the robot to your existing smart home automation system. But just like the Advantage Ultra, there is no Delay Feature. The key differentiator here is that the Advantage Pro is powered by 2.4GHz WiFi. You can sync it with your smartphone and control the robot via the MyDolphin Plus app, available for both Android and iOS platforms.
